Wayne Conoco Gasoline Pump

An impressive vintage Wayne gasoline pump presented in classic Conoco Gasoline livery, featuring striking blue and yellow finish and topped by a large Conoco Gasoline glove with the recognizable serviceman graphic.

The tall, streamlined Wayne cabinet displays wonderful period character. The upper yellow panel retains the raised “Wayne” script, while the front door carries embossed “FILTERED GASOLINE” lettering.  A matching round Conoco Gasoline identification sign mounted prominently on the lower front completes the presentation.

The pump is equipped with a period style fuel nozzle and hose, giving it the unmistakable appearance of the roadside filling-station pumps that helped define American motoring in the early automobile era.

Rather than appearing overly restored, this example possesses an appealing aged service station character, Surface wear, paint loss, oxidation and other evidence of age contribute to the pump’s authentic visual presence. The combination of the sculptural Wayne cabinet, colorful Conoco graphics and prominent globe makes it especially suitable as a centerpiece in a serious petroliana, automobilia, vintage sign or service station collection

Conoco traces its history to the Continental Oil Company, one of the important names in American petroleum history. Its distinctive branding has become highly recognizable among collectors of early gasoline advertising and filing station memorabilia.

Condition:
Presented in as found/display condition, showing age-related wear, paint deterioration, oxidation, scratches and losses consistent with its apparent age and previous use. The lower cabinet is open/incomplete in areas as visible in the photographs. Mechanical and electrical components have not been represented as operational.  Globe, signage, hose, nozzle and other components should be inspected individually for age and originality.
